Bangladeshi 'Tigers' roar after four years of silence in Test cricket

After a year Frustration
and bitter criticism,
Bangladesh finally shed the tag of world cricket's
"whipping boys" with
their maiden Test victory here on Monday.
The memorable moment arrived on the fifth and
final afternoon of the opening Test against
Zimbabwe when they completed a 226-run win in
front of wildly cheering home fans.
The smiles appeared on the Tigers' faces for the
first time since they made their Test debut in
November 2000 against Sourav Ganguly's
Indians at Dhaka.
And no-one was complaining, not even those
who questioned if these Bangladeshi cricketers
had earned the sobriquet of "Tigers".
